That’s where local artists and artisans can help. But this type of original craftsmanship is not normally found in large stores. For unique, local home decor you need to look to the art fairs and craft markets.

Downtown Art and Craft Market, Salt Lake City 

Located in Pioneer Park, this art and craft market takes place every Saturday from 8 AM till 2 PM right through summer until October 20th. It features local art, handcrafted home decorations, handmade jewelry, local photography and plenty of other arts and crafts that have been designed and made by people from the local community. There are lots of opportunities to buy gifts and be inspired.

If local home decor wasn’t enough to tempt you, the market also runs alongside the Salt Lake City Farmers Market, so you can pick up the freshest local fruits and vegetables, as well as local honey, eggs, meat, and even delicious baked goods.

Utah Art Market, Salt Lake City 

This large Art Market runs five times throughout the year, in February, April, October, November and December, at the Sugarhouse Garden Center in Salt Lake City. This October it will be held on the 12th and 13th and it can be a fantastic opportunity to purchase original art from the local area and local artists. There are beautiful home decorations available, including candles, pottery, stained glass and even holiday home decor, so you can find the ideal pieces for your own home.

Simple Treasures Boutique, Farmington

The Simple Treasures Boutique has been running for 18 years, offering the chance for local artists to showcase and sell their work to the people of Utah. Located at the Legacy Events Center in Farmington from September 26th through the 29th, this market can be a great place to shop for some unique fall home decor. Beautiful handmade home decorations are on offer to enhance your home decor this fall season, as well as fun and stylish decorations for Halloween.

If you want to plan ahead, they also have holiday markets at the Legacy Center, Farmington from November 7th through 10th and at the Golden Spike Events Center in Ogden from November 28th through December 1st. So it can be a wonderful opportunity to find some unique, local and handcrafted home decorations to spruce up your home decor for the holidays.

Artworks Gallery, Park City 

Although not technically a fair or market, this gallery on Main Street, Park City can be a great place for finding unique pieces of art for your home decor. Featuring work by local artists, including some stunning local photography, this gallery is well established, for over 35 years, and is the first artist-owned gallery in Utah. Whether it’s something to add interest to your home or a gift for someone from out of state, you should be able to find something that catches your eye.
